the north circular

the north circular has been my main inspiration for the concept of this slow fashion project. i wanted to keep mark fast’s idea of making the garments tailor to made to each customer but i have also used the north circulars idea of making the garments more personal by knowing the knitter and where the wool has come from.

for my concept the customer would receive a note from their knitter. as well as this the website shop would include a menu where people can choose their stitch type/size, colour and thickness of yarn.

i also wanted to keep the main colour as black because this is seen as a ‘timeless’ colour but i have also included highlight colours for extra contrast in the knits.
